This self-esteem group is designed to help young girls aged 11-13 years old build confidence, gain self-awareness and develop better communication skills. Through engaging activities, discussions, and role-playing, participants will learn to recognize their strengths, set realistic goals, and practice healthy coping strategies. By creating a safe and supportive environment, participants will have the opportunity to explore their unique identity and boost their self-esteem. We are excited to have a dietician join us for one of the sessions to discuss nutrition and intuitive eating. This 6 week group will also include one additional session for parents and caregivers with our counsellors and local dietician.
Would your child benefit from developing new skills and strategies, learning to regulate their emotions, manage conflicts and help build healthy friendships? Motion Counselling is offering a six week Self Regulation Group that will help children identify bodily triggers, develop coping strategies, increase social skills, help reduce conflict and manage emotions in a positive way. This group will be available in October with your child working with a Registered Clinical Counsellor and intern with over 30 years of combined experience working with youth. Parenting sessions are recommended but not required.
Yoga gives us many tools and techniques to liberate ourselves from the chaos of an untamed mind. Through gentle yoga movement and breath we develop awareness and compassion for ourselves and our experiences in the present moment and therefore better equipped to live our lives with less stress, anxiety, fear, uncertainty and depression.
Awaken your energetic bodies, soothe and calm your nervous system and develop a deeper, more meaningful relationship with yourself in these Kundalini inspired classes. In these classes you will learn how to use the breath as the powerful tool it is for healing the body and the mind. Together we will create and hold space for healing through gentle movement and meaningful connection.
Each class will consist of breathwork (Pranayama), gentle movement and a sharing circle featuring a different topic that has been thoughtfully woven into each practice and designed to evoke inspiration and thoughtful inquiry.
