She is humanistic and trauma informed, and draws upon several therapeutic modalities including Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.
Heather has extensive experience working as a middle and senior high school teacher for over a decade, and a school counsellor for the past two years. Her practice involves supporting youth, couples, and families navigating a variety of complexities, including life transitions, grief, relationships, trauma, perfectionism, self-esteem issues, anxiety, and depression.
Heather is currently a Master of Counselling student with Gonzaga University and completing her practicum with Motion Counselling and Wellness in the Affordable Counselling Program, offering sessions at a reduced rate.
