Ashley utilizes an integrative approach to counselling including Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Play therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Ashley incorporates Attachment theory, Systemic theory and works through a trauma-informed lens while providing service to clients. She approaches her work from a strength-based, collaborative angle, with the focus on supporting clients with achieving their therapeutic goals.
Ashley has over 10 years of experience working with children and youth in the school setting. She has worked with individuals, small groups and ran full classroom lessons in previous roles. Ashley has experience working with youth in foster care, children with behavioural challenges and children with ASD and ADHD and providing parenting support.
Ashley has completed her graduation requirements for her Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology at City University of Seattle and is currently awaiting for her degree to be conferred. She is also a candidate for her Registered Clinical Counsellor designation. Ashley is now accepting new clients with services offered at a pre-registration rate. Registration is expected in May 2023.
