Malia Bodhaine is a Registered Clinical counsellor offering counselling to children, adolescents and adults. She is a passionate and dynamic counsellor who believes wholeheartedly in her clients’ ability to reclaim their lives, discover their purpose, and build a life of wellness and balance. Her authentic, warm, positive approach helps clients identify and live from their own unique strengths. Malia loves working with young people, in particular, and supporting them through the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood. Her theoretical approaches include solution focused brief counselling, positive psychology, mindfulness and person-centered therapy. In addition, she is bilingual in Spanish and English and can offer counselling services in both languages.
Malia has over twenty years of experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults around the world. She has facilitated groups for children and adolescents on grief, divorce, anxiety, transitions, social thinking, emotion regulation and stress management.
Malia has a Masters in Counselling from Adams State University (Colorado, USA). She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC, a certified School Counsellor, a National Certified Counsellor (USA) and a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance.
